Brussel Sprouts Fry

Ingredients:
1 pack of frozen brussel sprouts
salt to taste
powdered black pepper to taste
2-3 spoons oil (olive oil recommended)

Procedure:
  • defrost the brussel sprouts
  • cut the brussel sprouts into halves
  • take non stick pan add 2-3 spoons of oil add brussel sprouts + salt + pepper and fry
  • close lid and cook for 5-7 mins (for better taste, make sure the flat surface of the brussel sprouts lies face down) and stir for even cooking
Time :10-12 mins

Potato Fry

Ingredients:
mustard seeds
curry leaves
1-2 chopped onions (or 1/2 packet of frozen chopped onions)
1 can of diced potato
salt to taste
1 spoon garam masala
1/2 spoon chilli powder
2 spoon coriander powder
2-3 spoon oil ( olive oil recommended)

Procedure:
  • take non stick pan add 2-3 spoon oil + mustard +curry leaves + onions fry until brown
  • add salt to taste + garam masala + chilli powder + coriander powder and fry for some time
  • add washed canned diced potato + close the lid and cook at medium flame
  • stir intermittently until potato is deep fried 7-10 mins
Time : 15 mins

Kadalai Kuzhambu

Ingredients:
1 can of Chick peas ( drain the liquid and wash with plain water)
2 spoons tomato paste
1-2 onions chopped
2 spoon tamarind paste
2 spoon kuzhambu powder
salt to taste
1 cup coconut milk

Procedure:

  • take pressure cooker and add 5 spoon oil + mustard+ curry leaves+onions + tomato and saute until onions are brown
  • add chick peas +tamarind paste+ kuzhambu powder+water 12 cups+ 1 cup of coconut milk+ salt
  • 2 sounds in pressure cooker
Time: 20 mins

Chick Peas Sundal

Ingredients:
1 can of Chick peas (packed) ( drain the liquid in the can and wash with plain water)
1 cup grated coconut(frozen)
salt to taste
1 spoon msutard
1 spoon urad dal
2 dry chilli
some curry leaves
some asfoteida

Procedure:
  • take oil in pan + mustard+dry chilli+urad dal+curry leaves+ asfoteida and fry until golden brown.
  • add grated coconut and salt to the pan and stir
  • now add the chick peas to the pan and stir for 5-7 mins
Time: 10 mins

Aval Uppuma

Ingredients:
2 cups Aval (rice flakes)
1-2 spoon Mustard
handful Urad dal
2 Dry chillis
1-2 spoon Ginger garlic paste
1 chopped onion
some curry leaves
1/4 spoon chilli powder
pinch of turmeric
salt to taste
1/2 spoon garam masala
1/2 cup grated cocounut

Procedure:
  • Take some water in a vessel and add the aval in water, leave for 10-15 seconds maximum and drain water. This is important for the aval to taste good.
  • take oil in a pan + mustard+urad dal+dry chillis+ onions + ginger garlic+ curry leaves + chilli powder+ turmeric+ salt + garam masala+grated coconut add one by one, the urad dal must be fried well for better taste. The onions should also be fried well for better taste.
  • fry for 5-10 mins
  • now add the soaked aval to the pan and stir carefully, so that you do not mash up the aval.
Time: 20 mins

Egg Fried Rice

Ingredients:
3-4 Eggs
2-3 Green chilli
1 onion
1-2 spoon ginger garlic
1 spoon garam masala
2 cups cooked basmati rice (rice has to be separate, to taste good)
1 table spoon soy sauce
grounded pepper
salt to taste

Procedure:
  • Make scrambled eggs with little bit of salt
  • Take oil in a different pan and add green chilli,onion, ginger garlic paste, garam masala and deep fry. add one by one, fry onions well for good taste.
  • Now mix the scrambled eggs to the pan and stir for 2-3 mins.
  • Spread the cooked rice and sprinkle grounded pepper and leave for rice to cool for 5mins or so.
  • Now mix the rice and the mixture with soy sauce, mix carefully so that you do not mash the rice.
Time: 30 mins

Egg Omlette

Ingredients:
2 Eggs
1-2 spoon ginger garlic paste
1-2 spoon grounded pepper
1/2 spoon tomato paste
some curry leaves
handful of chopped bell pepper
salt to taste

Procedure:
Beat the eggs along with the ingredients. make the omlette in a pan. You get delicious omlette. (You might have trouble turning the omlette, because of bell pepper etc... so be careful)
